Crispy Pan Seared Salmon
Crispy pan-seared salmon fillets basted with butter, garlic, and fresh thyme.

- 2 salmon filets
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 1/8 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 4 sprigs of thyme
- Lemon zest
- Lemon juice
- Parsley
Method

Let the salmon come to room temperature.

Pat the salmon dry, especially the skin, then score the salmon skin.

Season both sides with salt, black pepper, and paprika, rubbing the spices into the slits.

Heat a skillet over medium heat, then add the olive oil once the pan is hot.

Add the salmon skin-side down, press down with a spatula, and cook for 2 minutes.

Flip and cook for another 2 minutes.

Flip again, reduce the heat to low, and add butter, garlic, and thyme to the pan.

Baste the salmon with the melted butter for 4 minutes.

Finish with lemon zest, lemon juice, and parsley.
