In-N-Out Burger

- 24 oz ground chuck (80/20), into 3 oz patties
- Salt & peppers
- 1 tsp mustard each patty
- 1 large white onion, diced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup Mayo
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp sweet relish
- 1 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp white distilled vinegar

- lettuce
- tomato

In a small bowl, whisk together the mayo, ketchup, sweet relish, sugar, and white distilled vinegar to make the spread; set aside.

Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the diced white onion until softened and caramelized.

Season the beef patties with salt and pepper.

Spread 1 teaspoon of mustard onto one side of each patty, then cook patties in a hot skillet, mustard-side down first, cooking to desired doneness and melting cheese on top.

Toast the burger buns and assemble by layering the spread, lettuce, tomato, cheeseburger patties, and caramelized onions.
